Safety

Workplace injuries impact organisations at multiple levels. The exorbitant costs are the obvious factor, however significant burden can also manifest in terms of corporate image, worker morale and retention.
Creating a safe working environment is a key component of daily operations for most organisations. However creating a true culture of safety in which employees not only look after themselves, but also take an active role in looking after each other must go beyond policy and enforcement. Addressing employee work behaviours, in addition to enhancing their awareness and safety knowledge will continue to improve safety outcomes.
Health and safety are fundamentally linked. Healthy bodies are stronger, less likely to be injured, and recover from injuries quicker. Although direct education in preventing work injuries is critical, combining these interventions with the promotion of a healthy lifestyle can significantly boost positive outcomes.
