People that sit the most have a 112% increase in the relative risk (RR) of Diabetes and a 147% increase in the RR of cardiovascular events, compared to people who sit the least. Overall mortality is increased by 50%.

Get more movement in your day by drinking more water (you'll need to visit the bathroom more often), have a 2 minute stretch break every hour, walk to your colleagues desk rather than phoning or emailing them, if you do have to take a phone call - stand for it, go for a 10 minute walk during your lunch break... There are lots of ways to get more movement in your day!
