This transport company enlisted the help from Health by Design to improve the health and wellbeing of their employees.
Over the 6 month program, results included:
- 67 percent average engagement from employees.
- 182 total behavioural changes, accounting for 48% of employees participating.
- Top behavioural changes included healthy eating, diet management and increasing physical activity.
Here are some outstanding individual results from the health modules:
One employee increased their physical activity levels and goes to the gym 3-4 times a week. He also has been more mindful by including more fruit and vegetables in his diet. As a result of this, his cholesterol has dropped from 6.29 and is now back to a healthier range of 4.89.
Another employee has focused on decreasing refined sugars, substuting foods for healthier versions (IE: wholemeal bread instead of white) and increasing incidental exercise. He has now lost 3cm around his waist and is starting to feel healthier and full of energy.
One employee has taken on the suggestion from his Health by Design coach and took up interval training on the treadmill. The client has enjoyed this change and has lost 4cm around his waist.
