This industrial services company enlisted the help from Health by Design to assist employees to make meaningful changes to their health.
Across the health modules, 83 percent of employees engaged in the program. Further, 75 employees implemented behavioural changes and at least 77 percent made at least one behavioural change, including healthy eating, increasing physical activity and stretching.
Here are just some individual success stories from employees engaging in the modules:
- One employee cut down on alcohol consumption during the week, only consuming it on the weekend. He noticed that he had more energy and had decreased his blood pressure from high risk to medium risk.
- Another employee increased their physical activity levels to include walking at least once per day as well as being mindful of food consumption. They lost 7.5kg in four months and has decreased his blood glucose levels from high risk to low risk.
